Editor's Column - Engaging the Public in EMS Planning

Editor's Column is tenth in a continuing series to address issues that affect public acceptance of biosolids in local communities. This column discusses how meaningful public participation in environmental management system (EMS) planning for biosolids programs can be accomplished in many ways. Involvement could range from access to planning activities to direct participation and representation on special advisory councils or workgroups.
